When/why did you decide to learn coaching?

I was active in speaking & writing about spouse support in Direct Sales. In August 2005, I learned about coaching and realized it was the perfect means to make a difference.

What symptoms did you have that prompted this career change decision?

I watched my wife step into entrepreneurship and leave the corporate world. I wanted to chart my own course also.

What skills now benefit you and/or your company?

The primary coaching skills that serve me are tuning in and deep listening – hearing the message behind the message. I am building my own coaching business and utilize all the skills taught by The Coaching Institute.

What do I do as a coach?

I coach men & women in the Direct Selling / Network Marketing profession in the area of partner support. My work focuses on 3 primary areas: The partner that provides support, the partner that desires more support and the couples that seek to be successful together. My coaching centers on relationships and communication, which is the foundation for all other activities, including a business.

Any other comments or examples you want to mention regarding how your training at The Coaching Institute has changed/benefited your life and/or career and those around you?

In the last few years of my corporate career, I was becoming increasingly stressed and less fulfilled. My coach training helped me become more centered and be more at ease in my remaining corporate time, while learning the coaching & marketing skills to step into my own business. My clients have experienced major breakthroughs in their lives, relationships and business after coaching with me. Coaching provides a level of fulfillment I never experienced in my former career. Coaching skills & concepts have greatly assisted me in my personal relationships also.
